Terms of Service for EduMate

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the EduMate mobile application (the "Service") operated by EduMate ("us", "we", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. Use of the Service

EduMate is a student utility app designed to help you manage your timetable, check your attendance, view campus maps, and connect with friends.

A. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate.

B. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

• In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or university policy.
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate another student, university official, or any other person.
• To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service.

2. SAPSync and Third-Party Portals

EduMate provides a "SAPSync" feature that allows you to log into your university's official portal through the App to sync your attendance and schedule.

• Not Affiliated: EduMate is an independent application built by students, for students. It is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by your university.
• As-Is Data: We are not responsible for the accuracy of the data synced from the university portal. If your attendance is incorrect on the portal, it will be incorrect on EduMate.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials you use to access SAPSync. We store this data locally on your device and do not transmit your password to our servers.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-provided data and university-owned trademarks), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of EduMate and its licensors.

4. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall EduMate, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

6. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
